...programs will not be cut, but increased to better prepare our students to enter college and the work force after they graduate.

From the Board of Education…

To The Patrons of USD #384

This letter is to say Thank You for your support of our district’s recent election on the LOB mill levy increase.  It’s never easy to ask people to vote to increase their own taxes, but with an almost 60% turnout and a 474 to 143 vote you have done just that.

During this discussion there have been questions about if the district will remain open, if we should consolidate, or if programs or staff should be cut. It is our feeling, as the board, that we CAN and WILL stay open, that there is no discussion of consolidation, and that programs will not be cut, but increased to better  prepare our students to enter college and the work force after they graduate. With the uncertainty and concerns about state funding, please be assured that the money from this vote will be used to get the maximum benefit from it.

We also need to say a big Thank You to the staff and patrons that worked on the VOTE YES committee.  It is because of your willingness and dedication that we succeeded. It‘s our hope that this will increase participation and communication between the board, administration, staff, and patrons in our district.

Once again, Thank You to Everyone in the district for helping to keep our district one of the best in the state.
