Due to contact of confirmed case of of Covid 19 the middle school vb and fb game for tomorrow night at BV against Luckey and Clifton-Clyde has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date. There will also be no MS vb and fb Practice tonight or Thursday . Thank you for your cooperation.

BV Rams VB got off to good start in TVL with a win over Axtell by scores of 28-26 and 25-22. BV lost to Hanover in two by scores of 18-25 and 10-25. JV lost to both Axtell and Hanover.

UPDATE FROM SUPERINTENDENTS OFFICE 8-31-20 Hello RAM Nation! We have started the first full week of school. This is very exciting! I need to give you an update on REMOTE LEARNING LOGS. When you have completed the weekly learning log for each remote learning student, at the end of each week please send them to the building secretaries. They will keep the record of attendance and hours worked per day. It will also help us in our record collection. As a reminder, our goal is to keep school open and safe for all students and staff. We will pivot and adapt as situations occur. Updates will come out this week for our school activities starting this week. We need everyone's cooperation with safety procedures to ensure a safe and fun environment for all. Thank you for allowing us to educate your children!! GO RAMS!!

UPDATE FROM SUPERINTENDENT 8-27-2020 Hello RAM Nation!! Football practice for the middle school and high school have been canceled for tonight 8-27-2020. We are taking the day to clean and sanitize the football equipment to ensure a safe return to practice tomorrow Friday 8-28-2020. Please take the time this afternoon to help your student/athlete clean and sanitize their personal equipment used in competition. Thank you for your support as we work through the day to day changes while trying to make the opportunities students have as safe as we can.

Update from Superintendent 8-26-2020. Hello everyone, I have decided to cancel middle school and high school football practice until we receive further results from ongoing testing. We are doing this as a precaution at this time. The Health Department has provided guidance as to proper procedures in this situation and we are taking their advice. I will keep you posted.

UPDATE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT 8-26-2020 Hello everyone, This is not the way we wanted to start the year, but it is the time in which we are living through. We had a confirmed case of COVID in the Blue Valley School District. A staff member notified me this morning that they tested positive. I am sending out this message to let everyone know that we have cleaned and sanitized the areas where the staff member had been. The staff member indicated there was no direct contact with anyone within the 6 foot social distance guideline for longer than 10 minutes. As a precaution, we have made phone calls to those who may have had extended time with the staff member to monitor for symptoms. This message is being sent as part of the guidance from the Riley County Health Department. Please monitor for: Fever (100.4 or higher) Chills Muscle aches Fatigue Headache Sore throat Difficulty breathing Loss of taste or smell If you have or someone in your family has symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and then the Blue Valley District Office at 785-293-5256.

Undoubtedly, there will be some twists and turns as we head down the path to school this year. UPDATE FROM SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE 8-25-20 School Starts tomorrow the 26th!!! We are so excited!! With that come a few reminders or updates. Buses: If you ride the bus, your driver should have made contact with you with details of the route. Because of COVID and bus requirements, students that live in the City will walk to school or be a car rider. Preschool students should be dropped off by their parent/guardian unless arrangements have been previously made with the school. The doors open to the buildings at 7:45. Remember there will be a screening procedures in place when entering the building. Make sure to leave yourself plenty of time. See You Soon!!! GO RAMS!!

Update from Superintendent's Office. 8-21-2020 What a week!!!! We survived it and are better for it. UPDATE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT 8-18-2020 Hello Blue Valley Families, I want to bring everyone up to speed. I have heard the rumors and false reports about COVID-19 as it relates to USD 384 Blue Valley Schools. In an effort to be as transparent as possible, I want to let you all know that we have had positive cases in our District. Those cases have been identified, tested, quarantined and all close contacts with those cases have been notified either by email or by phone. The Riley County Health Department has been contacted and given us guidance every step of the way. The District has identified areas of exposure and contact in each building. Our custodial staff continues to cleans and sanitize the buildings following recommended procedures. As we continue to work through a situation that changes daily, decisions are made everyday to make sure we are making school as safe and healthy as we possibly can. Our goal is to get school open and for it to be a safe environment for students to learn. We understand that this virus makes everyone uncomfortable at some level. I want to reassure you that we take this virus seriously, that we are as transparent as we can be in the moment and that information is being shared with the community as we can. With that in mind, because we can contact trace locations where cases have been in the buildings, we are closing those areas of our buildings so they can be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly. We will continue to have athletic practices as long as it is safe to do so. Coaches have been asked to continue with the safety protocols and procedures they have been using to ensure as safe an environment as we can have. If a student does not come to practice because of safety/health concerns, missing practice should not be held against them, but all KSHSAA guidelines for practices before playing will be met before the student athlete can participate fully. Please contact the coach to discuss any concerns you may have. We appreciate your continued support in this uncertain time.
