This morning I received a phone call asking permission for a helicopter to land on our football field. The helicopter will be taking Fire Chiefs and Commanders up to get an aerial view of the wild fires. Right now the plan is for the helicopter to land and take off twice. At approximately 11am this morning a small private helicopter will be landing on our football field in Randolph. Our district staff has been notified and our students at the middle and high school have also been notified of the helicopter landing.

BVMS Scholars Bowl season is about to wrap up. We have one more meet held April 3, 2024 at Anthony Middle School. So far this season, both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams have taken home hardware at a majority of the meets. Varsity place 2nd in our first match with a 3-1 record at Marysville Feb. 8. At our second meet, Varsity took home 3rd place medals at the BVL tournament. At the largest meet of the season at Washington County last week, the Junior Varsity team placed 3rd out of 10 teams with a 6-3 record. The Varsity placed 4th, not too far behind, with a 5-4 record. Our latest match was held Monday, March 4 at Linn. Both teams competed well beating Hanover who placed first in both JV and Varsity. Junior Varsity was one question out of first place, but it just wasn't our night. It has been a great season with great student competitors. We are excited for our last match in April!
